Some photos...

Okay okay.. here are the photos that i promised.. i took more than 1 week to post all of them and its not a lot of photos. Its so hard to post photos on blogspot. if anyone found a better and faster way, please let me know ok? thanks!

My trip to Biopolis
The first thing which we saw that tells us that we are on the right track. Don't you think the word "Biopolis" is a bit too small? And do not think the 3 figures are quite dumb, they are actually made up of all the different buildings in biopolis. Look at the map and you will understand.

That's me with the biopolis as the background. Dresscode for the day was smart casual and there are still people who turned up in jeans and three-quarters. Luckily this photo cannot see me very clearly. I think i look weird in the photo.

The map of biopolis. There are 7 buildings altogether. Namely, Proteos, Nanos, Matrix, Centros, Chromos, Helios and Genome.

This is actually found at the bottom of the map on top. It tells you what each building has and from there, you can basically guess what is each building doing.

The Matrix building. It was where our seminar was held.

This should be the first thing that anyone notice the moment they walked into the building. But apparently all 3 of us were cocked-eyed. We only saw it during the break. Can anyone guess what does each picture represent? Each picture represent each of the building in biopolis. Bio students should not have a big problem guessing. Esp biomolecular trained students.

Have you guessed it? Here are the answers...

Another very impressive thing in the building is this DNA structure. Its built to perfection, with each atom in the DNA structure accurately represented. Including the different bases. And we found something amazing. Even the different number of hydrogen bonds are represented! Here's the CG triple bond. Look out for the white circles. Of the bond is behind the pole.
This is more obvious, the AT double bond.
A simpler and more elegant DNA structure that could be found on nearly every level of the building.
Welcome to BioBiz 2006!

The auditorium where the talk was held. Very cozy chairs.. i feel asleep for 2 hrs during the seminar. Even the toilets are very pretty. Look at the signs of the toilets they are also made up of the different buildings in the place.
They even have handicapped toilets. Do not anyhow use wor.. later get complained..

My very tasty doughnuts

After the seminar i went to meet hz at orchard and i bought tasty doughnuts home. Very pretty packaging hor? But cannot buy too often, very 心痛 coz its quite ex..

The IT show

After a busy weekend for biobiz, its the IT show. And i bought my printer. Sooooo happy. I have long wanted a colour printer... and now i got a three in one.

That's the trolley i used to bring it home. Luckily got this trolley. If not dunno how to bring 3 printers back home...

My printer in the original casing. I am now the proud owner of a Epson Stylus CX4100.

Everything that was contained within the package. There! Its comfortably housed on my computer table. I took a very long time to decide where to put it. It was a lot bigger than i expected...
