Our Pledge
We, the citizens of Singapore,
pledge ourselves as one united people,
regardless of race, language or religion,
to build a democratic society
based on justice and equality
so as to achieve happiness, prosperity and
progress for our nation.

Something about these two really evokes a sense of nostalgia in me. Maybe coz we no longer sing the anthem nor say the pledge now and i really missed those days in sec school and JC.
The NDP was great and the fireworks were so pretty. Except that i was disappointed that i could only see them on the TV. And it was quite sad that the National Stadium is going to be torn down. I was glad that I caught the NDP at the National Stadium before. The atmostphere at the scene is so different from watching NDP at home. I really think all Singaporeans should watch NDP at least once. Not that i am very patrotic, i cannot stand some things in Singapore and i really hope to be able to get out as soon as i can. But still, i am very grateful to the place for giving me the life that i have now.
Anyway, I am looking forward to the next NDP with prettier stuff. Hopefully i will remember to ballot for the tickets this time.
