changing appetites

I met the st john gals tonight for dinner at Changing Appetite. We shared 2 combos, 2 cups of their freezers, 1 mudpie and 1 other weird dish that's red bean paste with green tea ice cream (cannot rmb the name liao). The mussels and ribs were very good but the rest of the food was just passable loh. But the thing about the night is not the food. It’s the ppl. It felt so good being with this whole bunch of st john friends. They seemed to be the only constant thing in my life. We might have all grown older and more mature, but we are still the same group of crazy and noisy gals when we are together. It was very entertaining to just sit there and listen to crap. I dunno how to describe the feeling but it jus feels very comfortable whenever i was with them. Dun think anything can ever replace the kind of link that we have. Really really misses the days we had together. Anyway, here are some photos. XJ and me were so busy taking photos that the rest cant wait to kill us so that they are start eating... haha...

The first dish.... seafood combo...

The meat combo…

One of the freezers… called peach please... I din get a chance to take photo of the other coz the rest have already started drinking and it got a bit unsightly.. haha..

Look at mao mao.. she looked so pleased with the drink....

The mudpie before it was destroyed.

After the battle. I think we finished it in under 5 minutes.. But it was very nice… we had choc marshmallow. I dun eat marshmallow so I think the rest had a fun time eating up my share.

The weird dish was the last dish. The green tea ice cream tasted weird but the red bean was quite nice. This red bean even got us into a discussion of whether red or green bean is nicer. Conclusion was: very hard to compare but when cooked as a soup and is hot, most ppl preferred green bean to red bean.

The gang! There is only partial attendance here. Biyun and jiating have to rush report and lindsey and soohoo were not free. From the left: Old tortise, mao mao, potato, wenjun, tomato, me and banana. Sounds like a farm right? haha...

A silly photo taken while we were all in the toilet…

After dinner we went home coz it was Sunday and all of us have work to do. Being a group of lazy gals, we decided to wait for the shuttle bus. And while waiting, we took some photos. This is my fav one. Felt like old time when neo print was very popular. a bit ugly though.. but its quite funny lah... haha...

Finally the bus came after 15 mins or so of waiting. It was a special bus. Old, authentic and very cosy. The only drawback was the bus has a modern bell. Those yellow kind with a red button to press. But anyway, being so fascinated by the bus, we took a lot of photos too. Haha.. felt like some tourists loh… here are some of our shots.

The painted glass on top. Look at the ugly yellow bell!

Us again!

Candid shot of 老乌龟. Very arty hor? Haha.. nice nice…
