i have been so lazy to blog so I haven been updating abt my life.. since I am waiting for my phone to be charged so that I can charge my camera, I shall blog a bit abt wat happened after the last day of exams.
Penang trip
Right after my exams, I left for Penang with my family. We stopped over at KL on our way there and back. KL was a nice place to shop coz everything’s so nice and most stuff are cheap. Due to the exchange rate, it seems like everything in M’sia is 50% off. Wow!! So cool.. haa… And I really like mid valley but its jus too bad that I missed their year end sale. Anyway, I think I will be back!! Anyone wants to go with me next year or something?
KL and shopping aside, the trip itself was quite okay. I jus felt as though I spend a lot of time on the bus. Anyway, some quick updates abt the trip. I will post the photos another time.
We booked our trip with a tour agency so we had a tour guide to bring us around. Got good and bad lah. Good thing is that we dun have to worry abt getting lost. Bad thing is that the tour guide keep making us spend money. And the food they planned was always the same except for a few variations here and there. At the end of the trip, I was so scared of prawns and fish that I refuse to touch anything for 2 days.
Day 1: We visited a bee museum and got to drink honey for free. Very nice.. but the honey very expensive, costs RM 70 per bottle. Spend money again…. But the peranakan meal is quite nice. Probably one of the better ones. Spent the first night in KL. Did not managed to do much shopping coz I dun want to bring up to penang and back but I promised myself a good shopping trip on the way home.
Day 2: Saw the Penang bridge and went up the penang hill. It was real nice and cooling on top of the hill. And the view was really spectacular. We even managed to catch the night scene and you get to see the bridge real clearly.
Day 3: Temple visiting day. We visited the Sleeping Buddha first. It was real big but unfortunately I cannot take photos. However it seems like there is an even bigger one in Thailand. Hope I can get to see it one day. After tt we went to Kek Lok Temple which was located on a hill. So we have to climb to get to the top. We went up the pagoda but it was so scary on top coz I felt like the floor was slanting and I felt as if I was going to fall off. We also visited the giant bronze Guan Ying. OMG.. its real real real big.. wait till you see the photo. We also visited a snake temple with real vipers. In the evening we went shopping at their version of “Raffle City”. It was a very run down version but it was bustling with life. It was quite small compared to KL but still, it has got quite a bit of things to shop. Unfortunately, I din get to buy much stuff except for ribbons which was real cheap! For supper, I went to search for my Penang Laksa. Found it but was quite disappointed coz I think its not nice. Sour sour one. Tried the white coffee too. Wow… very very nice!!
Day 4: Back to KL and was a whole day of traveling and shopping. Went to mid valley to shop. Very very very nice place except for the dumb BK person who took my order three times. After tt we went back to our hotel and went shopping at Sungei Wang.
Day 4: Shopping at Times Square. Quite disappointing lah coz got nothing much to buy. Should have tried the indoor amusement park instead. Seemed like much more fun…. Went back to SG in the afternoon. Missed home so much..... the next day after i got back from penang, i stayed at home the whole day to watch VCD.. finished the 海豚湾恋人 that i borrowed from xiling.
Amazing Race
I organized an amazing race for my RV cadets which was the reason I din want to go M’sia in the first place coz I have a lot of unsettled stuff. The day went pretty smoothly and i am so glad that my juniors enjoyed the event. They are even thinking of how to make their juniors go through the same thing again next year. Haha…. after the race i rushed down for a friend's wedding. It was the first time i attended a malay wedding and she was so pretty. But i spent a lot of money on taxi fare.. sian...
Birthday parties
Well.. now I have got tonnes of birthday parties to attend. I attended my cousin’s party on 2nd Dec and really enjoyed myself. I simply love family gatherings… I went for Grace’s party on 4th. Enjoyed myself oso.. haha.. coz got games and it was quite funny. I still got ailing’s party on the 8th, qiulin’s on the 10th ,huiwen’s on the 16th, xiling’s on the 17th and huimin’s on the 30th. Sigh… no money lah……
