singapore youngsters

i wonder what is wrong with our education system or with our upbringing. How come i suddenly realised that singaporeans, in particular the younger generation is getting more and more inconsiderate? This past one week, i have come to notice two very irritating things that they do.

First, students in NTU do not like to move to the rear of the bus. There was once i was on the bus on the way to school. There was so much space at the rear but the students jus refused to move in. We were standing with so much space between us at the end while those in the front have to squeeze like mad to get onto the bus. Com'on, we are all going to school for classes at the same time most probably. So i think the least you can do is to move in and make space for other people to get on. And many people, including me, get irritated when some aunties try to squeeze to the rear of the bus but have it ever occurred to us that if we had bothered to move in at the same time, they will not have to squeeze like that and we can all be happier!

Secondly, i really cannot stand people who blast their music so loud that the whole bus and train can hear what they are listening to. Worst still, with the current advancement in technology, some people play their mp3 using the loudspeaker coz they do not have a ear phone. Oh please, not the whole world like what you are playing okay? Worst still, they like to play all the rock music which i hate like mad. It really gives me a very bad headache and puts me in a very bad mood. Can they jus be more sensitive to the people around them??

I really wonder what happened to all the education in school? What happened to all the things about graciousness and courtesy? We seemed to have forgotten the basics during the scramble for good grades and a better education.
